Kolkata, November 22: Two Bangladeshi militants have been arrested from one of the busiest stations of Kolkata on Tuesday. The arrested militants are members of 'Ansarullah Bangla' Team (ABT) which is banned terror outfit in Bangladesh. This group is involved with the “blogger murder” incidents and moreover is linked with Al-Qaeda.

As per Kolkata Police statement the arrested suspects are living in India without a visa. They are trying to collect arms and ammunition from West Bengal to send it to their Bangladeshi outfit. Riazidul Islam alias Suman(25) and Sansad Miya alias Tanvir alias Tushar(26) were arrested while they were trying to meet an illegal arms dealer Manotosh Dey from Basirhat.

“Tanveer is a civil engineer and held a high post within the militant group. The duo have no valid travel documents and had been living in India illegally for the last one and half years,” Murlidhar Sharma, deputy commissioner of Special Task Force of Kolkata police said. Police will investigate their motif if they came for a hideout or had any other plan.

What is more alarming is one of the militants managed to get a fake Aadhar card. In the fake identity card Samsad Mia identified himself as Tushar Biswas. He also held a higher position in the hierarchy of the Ansarullah Bangla Team. Police are trying to find out from where he got that fake card.
