New Delhi, Nov 22: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be on a three-day visit to Russia from November 27 to 29, 2017, official sources said.

During the three-day visit Singh will hold discussions with Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Russian Minister of Internal Affairs and other senior Russian leaders. The discussions would cover topics related to bilateral, international and regional issues and matters of mutual interest.

The visiting Indian Home Minister is likely to sign a comprehensive security agreement with the Ministry of Interior of the Russian Federation on cooperation in combating terrorism and organised crime.

This agreement is expected to further reinforce the relationship between India and Russia through the exchange and sharing of information, expertise, best practices to curb terrorism and enhancing security in the region.

Rajnath Singh is also expected to sign Joint Action/Implementation Plan for cooperation in areas of drugs and disaster management.

As both the countries have a long history of close cooperation on matters of shared security concerns, this visit will provide an opportunity to further cement and strengthen the mutually beneficial bilateral ties between both the countries.
