Russian Ambassador congratulates the successful flight test of BrahMos wishing stronger India-Russia cooperation

New Delhi, November 24: Recently India created a milestone in history after Brahmos, world’s fastest supersonic cruise missile was successfully tested from aircraft Sukhoi-30MKI. Russian Ambassador Nikolay Kudashev has sent a congratulatory message on this great success of India. It is very significant as Brahmos is a joint project of India and Russia.

Russia and already has a long-term strategic partnership in Defense sector. Recently the countries conducted a tri-service joint exercise, INDRA 2017 successfully. Now this successful test of BrahMos will definitely deepen the relation more.

Russian ambassador also mentioned in his letter the importance of BrahMos in India-Russia military bond. “I am convinced that it is through joint efforts that our two countries will continue deepening our co-operation in military and technical sphere,” he wrote in the letter. He has also congratulated all the executives and engineers related to the project.

The test was conducted against a sea-based target in the Bay of Bengal on Wednesday. Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman congratulated (Defence Research and Development Organisation) DRDO and BrahMos for the exceptional achievement.

Now, Brahmos is capable of being launched from Land, Sea, and Air, completing the tactical cruise missile triad for India. Especially, it is very important to mention Brahmos is a world-class weapon with multi-platform, multi-mission role.
