Prestigious Chinese University welcomes Indian Students to embrace new academics and propagate Indian culture

Beijing, November 25: Many Indians go abroad for studies are respected for their skills and intellect. With a warming gesture China’s one of the prestigious universities, Soochow University held a special and warm welcome ceremony for Indian students joining the first year academic session of medical courses. 

Organised by Consulate General of India Anil Kumar Rai, congratulated the students for starting a new phase of the academic career and encouraged them to participate in various activities organized by the University.

Consul General also advised students to assimilate themselves with the Chinese culture as well as spread Indian Culture among Chinese and international students. He advised the students to register at the Madad Portal and keep in communication with Consulate through the website, email, phone, and social media. During the course of interaction, the students were also briefed about the passport, visa and consular and welfare services including emergency assistance offered by the Consulate.

 

During meeting with the President of Soochow University Dr. Sidong Xiong, Consul General thanked him for providing a welcoming atmosphere to Indian students and discussed about academic performance and welfare of the Indian students and modalities for jointly organizing India Culture Week, comprising of screening of Indian films, food festival, photo exhibition, dance and music programmes. Both sides agreed to organize India Cultural Week at the mutually convenient time during the current academic session.
