Udupi (Karnataka), Nov 25: With the Supreme Court all set to begin hearing on Ramjanmabhumi case from December 5, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarasanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat said on Friday that the dream of Hindus to have the Ram Temple at Ayodhya will be fulfilled.

Dr Bhagwat was delivering his address at the first day of the three-day Dharmasansad organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). The Religious Conclave is being attended by Hindu religious leaders from across the country in this temple town of Karnataka.

The RSS Chief acknowledged that the atmosphere in the country is turning in favour of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya and asserted that only Ram Mandir will be built at Ramjanmabhumi and nothing else. The Mandir will be built in the same form with the same stones and bricks by the same people who fought for it 20-25 years ago.

He said that this is not the populist announcement but an expression of our mind and will not change it in any circumstances. He however, mentioned that the case is subjudiced and the Supreme Court will be hearing it soon.

He said that the Hindu society is marching towards victory and is sure to win. The respect for Hindus worldwide is increasing, he said. He said that we are nearing the fulfilment of our life mission and warned the people to be more alert and keep complacency at bay.

Earlier, inaugurating the Dharmasansad His Holiness Vishweshatirtha Swamiji of the Pejawar Mutt, Udupi, said that after eliminating all odds, construction at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will be starting within an year.

He remembered that any pledge (sankalpa) taken in Darmasansad, Udupi have been into action – be it the resolution of the elimination of untouchability taken in 1969 or opening of the locks of Rama Mandir which was taken in 1985. He also called for the abolishing untouchability which to a small extent still existed in the country.

Dharmastala’s Dharmadhikari Veerendra Hedge in his speech said, that Hindus though have been attacked and ill-treated from a long time, the Dharma has not been able to be destroyed. It has been since ages Hindu Dharma exists and would exist for ever and always emerged victorious.

Dr Pravin Togadia, International Working President of VHP condemned the forceful acquisition of temples as well their destruction. He opined that the need to save Gau Mata and constructing Ram Mandir is the need of the hour and the dream shall soon be fulfilled.
