Assuring safety of citizens, CM Fadnavis kicked off ‘Martyr’s Day Ride’ to honor heroes of 26/11 Mumbai Attack

Mumbai, November 26: Mumbaikars sunk into the worst memories of 26/11 Mumbai Attacks which took many lives of innocence. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid floral tributes to policemen who got martyred while fighting bravely for the nation during 26/11. CM Fadnavis appreciated the rally and also thanked BSF for taking out this rally to spread the message of peace. 

Also recalling the significance of Constitution Day, CM Fadnavis flagged off Samvidhan Run and Gaurav Yatra which was organised by Social Justice Department. Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao and CM Fadnavis interacted with martyrs’ family and relatives. They interacted with Force One commandos too.

 

India has always showed it strength and has given a clear message that we are ready to fight & defeat any kind of aggression against our country. I sincerely appeal all the citizens to be vigilant and become the eyes & ears of our police and security forces, CM Fadnavis addressed the flag in ceremony of Martyr’s Day Ride organised by BSF.

Later CM Fadnavis attended the event to mark 26/11 Memorial Day of Mumbai Attacks organised by Forum for awareness of National Security (FANS) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Addressing the event, CM Fadnavis said that “Just as 9/11 was an attack on world’s economic power, 26/11 was an attack on Indian financial capital to destabilise our economy. But time and again we have proven that we have a great fighting spirit and have defeated all evil designs of enemies.”

 

We have streamlined many things like ForceOne & CCTVnetwork which was pending since 2008.Introduced colour coding for boats, bullet resistant jackets, coordinating committee on security and training of locals as we believe that citizens can play bigger role in helping our forces, CM Fadnavis added.

We have taken many steps to ensure security of our citizens. Huge CCTV network, latest technologies are in place and also a dedicated ForceOne in place, CM assured.

 

Further CM Fadnavis attended the flag-in ceremony of ‘Martyrs Day Ride’ organised by BSF. Senior officials from Border Security Force & Maharashtra Police were also present. 25 riders including 10 Divyang from various Central Armed Police Forces & civilians participated in this rally which was started on 14th November from India Gate, New Delhi and traveled 1400 kms before reaching Mumbai.
