Amaravati, Nov 27: Veteran actor and Rajya Sabha MP Suresh Gopi Called on Andra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and invited him to the National banana festival. The 5th edition of the mega-festival will be held at Thiruvananthapuram from February 17 to 21.
Speaking to the media, the Malayalam Superstar informed that Various stakeholder associated with banana Industry will be participating in the four-day event. He further added that Students, scientists and farmers from across the country are expected to attend the summit where 457 varieties of banana products would be presented at the exhibition.
The National banana festival is a platform helmed by Indian Council of Agricultural Research to enhance the contribution of Indian banana in the global market. According to the official website of ICAR, India is the largest contributor of banana with the share of 28%(30 million tons) of total fruit production.
