Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announces master plan to resolve water dispute

London, Nov 28: Union Water Resource Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed that ministry would take all possible steps to address the water scarcity in the south. Addressing the forum of UK-based Indian Journalists, the senior Minister announced that central government would transfer surplus water from the Godavari River to Krishna and  Pennar river. Gadkari expressed that the contentious issue of Cauvery will be addressed soon.

Speaking on the flagship programme of Clean Ganga Mission, Gadkari opined that government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government will achieve the goal of Clean Ganga. Commenting on emerging trends in port development, Gadkari pointed that Indian ports are in good financial condition. He added that three major ports are being developed in order to boost the economic activity through waterways.
