Hyderabad, November 29: Dahi ke kebab, gosht shikampuri kebab, kubani ke malai kofta, murgpista ka salan and Sitaphal Kulfi…and more mouthwatering delicacies were served. Guess what! Ivanka Trump was served with lavish dinner by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Taj Falaknuma in Hyderabad. Ivanka Trump and PM Narendra Modi dined at world’s largest dining table.

Ivanka Trump received royal treatment as horse-drawn carriage of the Nizam era ferried her from the main gate to the palace atop the hill. She and other guests were greeted with a rose petal shower on entering the palace. Ivanka Trump's welcome ritual began with a traditional 'aarti' and lighting of the lamp ceremony.

The table decor was inspired by the rich cultural heritage of the Deccan region. Rare artefacts and silver decorative pieces were brought in from the Nizam's private collection at Chowmahalla Palace; while all upholstery used during the dinner was made with locally sourced fabrics such as Ikkat, Teliya and Velvet.

A five-course menu, inspired by Hyderabad's famed cuisine by a host of culinary experts, led by executive Chef Sajesh Nair, was part of the lavish menu. Dinner also contained a mix of exotic Indian ingredients and delicacies like dahi ke kebab, gosht shikampuri kebab, kubani ke malai kofta, murg pista ka salan and sitaphal kulfi will be presented over several courses – Aghaz (soup), Waqfa (sorbet), Mezban (appetisers), Mashgool Dastarkhwan (main course) and Zauq-e-shahi (dessert).

The dinner was hosted by the union government as part of the ongoing Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2017. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was among those present for the dinner. A separate dinner was arranged for around 1,500 delegates of the GES on the lawns of the palace.

Five-tier security was provided to Ivanka Trump, who arrived in Hyderabad in the early hours on Tuesday and addressed the eighth edition of the GES. She is scheduled to leave the city Thursday evening.
