Haryana govt signs Rs 20,000 cr worth MoU to establish logistic, trading hub

Gurugam, November 3: Haryana, the state which has already been ranked first among North Indian states in the ease of doing business index wants to stretch the market more. The state has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Verbind at the sixth edition of CII Invest North 2017 being held in Mumbai. Under this pact, a Rs 20,000 Cr. logistics & trading hub project will be established spread over an area of 600 acres near Gurugram.

"Haryana is ranked first among north Indian states in the ease of doing business index of the government, and sixth in the country," Haryana Principal Secretary, Industries, and Commerce, Sudhir Rajpal said at the CII Invest North 2017.

The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) will play the role of the nodal agency for the project. The project will generate direct or indirect employment for six lakh persons.

The MoU has been signed with Verbind, an integrated trade facilitation services organization. Under the MoU, the government will assist Verbinds efforts to obtain necessary permissions, registrations, approvals, and clearances with reference to the projects from relevant departments, in line with existing rules, policies and regulations.
