Tokyo, November 30: Mysterious boats drifting towards Japanese islands are increasing tension in the country. On Thursday Japanese authorities inspected a boat with 10 men aboard identifying themselves as North Koreans. It has increased tensions among residents as well as among coast guards.

The wooden boat was trying to take refuge due to rough weather in the sea. As per Japan’s local media report, coastguards herd the men on boats communicating in Korean. The boat was towed nearer the northern island of Hokkaido for inspection.

These incidents have increased in last month. On Monday also, officials found eight bodies inside a ragged wooden boat believed to be from North Korea after it washed ashore on the coast of Akita prefecture.

North Korea has recently launched another missile so it’s hard to decide if there are any other plans. Residents of the area are also expressing concern. Coast Guards have raised their routine patrol and urged locals to report immediately if they find anything further.
