TRS to back Women Reservation Bill: Minister K. T Rama Rao

Hyderabad, Nov 30: Underlining the importance of women in active politics, senior Minister K. Tarakarama Rao announced that his party would back Women Reservation Bill if introduced by the central government. Speaking at Global Entrepreneurship Summit, Rao stated that TRS government under the leadership of K. Chandrashekhar Rao had already ratified the resolution supporting the Women Reservation Bill and it was sent to the Centre.

Commenting on the existing political milieu the Minister confessed that the women representation in State Assembly was very less. He further assured that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao would take the final call on the inclusion of woman minister in the state cabinet.

Elaborating on the initiates of women empowerment, KTR announced that a separate business-friendly eco-system for women entrepreneurs would be introduced by the state government. The minister mentioned that Telangana state is working on the full-fledged industrial policy to promote women entrepreneurs.
