Governor Tripathi urges Bengal government to take necessary steps for Dengue outbreak

Kolkata, November 4: Dengue outbreak in Bengal has now become a major concern in the state as the grips of Dengue increasing day by day. Governor of Bengal Keshari Nath Tripathi has also expressed his concern over the issue. He has also written a letter to State government for proper treatment and prevention of Dengue.

Till now the government has not issued any official number of Dengue patients or deaths related to Dengue. Opposition leaders are also criticizing Mamata Banerjee led government for the issue. They have blamed government’s attempt to hide the fact as the main reason for Dengue outbreak.

Moreover, along with the terror of Dengue state is facing the fevers such as chikungunya, malaria and scub taefus diseases. Recently three Public Interest Litigations were also filed.

“Governor Tripathi has written a letter to the state government to the effect that in view of the serious nature of all these diseases and the concern expressed by a large number of the population in this regard, all efforts should be made for treatment as well as prevention of these diseases,” press statement issued by the Raj Bhavan stated.

In the statement from Raj Bhavan, it has been informed that the Governor has also asked for information about other fevers also and he already knows about it from several news reports.
