New building for Bombay High Court soon: Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai, November 5: Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra laid the Foundation stone for Alternate Dispute Resolution Centre on Saturday. On this occasion CM of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Justice of Bombay high Court Manjula Chellur were also present.

 

“To give early justice and speedy resolution to common man there is a need for Mediation and Arbitration centre” said the CM while talking on this occasion. We have adopted a policy which ensures that every government contract has a provision for arbitration he added.

 

Along with this a creche facility was inaugurated at the CTO building next to the Bombay High Court. “With the introduction of the creche in the High Court premises, the women advocate and the women officers / employees here can take care of their children and they can be properly raised. Because of this creche, they can pay attention to both their business and their family” says Fadnavis.

 

Addressing to this occasion Chief Justice Deepak Mishra said that the concept of reconciliation and intervention should be accepted in the justice process. Mediation is a useful element to combat court cases. Although there are a variety of mediated intervention measures, it is important to get justice in any way. The justice process should be quick and cost effective. As the Bombay High Court premises will have an optional jurisdiction center, people will be able to relieve their cases.
