Prime Minister Narendra Modi met DMK senior leader M Karunanidhi

Chennai, November 6: On his visit to Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on to DMK chief M Karunanidhi at his Gopalapuram residence in Chennai and also invited him to New Delhi to his residence. It was PM‘s first visit of to Karunanidhi.

 

During his 15-minute meeting with the DMK chief, Modi said that Come and stay in my New Delhi residence and take rest. While Karunanidhi is recovering from illness. Modi was presented with a copy of Kuraloviam and a commentary on Thirukkural, and the 75th-anniversary souvenir of the DMK organ Murasoli by Karunanidhi. Also, the Prime Minister met Karunanidhi's wife Dayalu Ammal and asked her about health.

 

Modi was welcomed by the working president of DMK Stalin and Karunanidhi's daughter MP Kanimozhi with a shawl. Modi waved to BJP cadre who were gathered outside the DMK chief’s residence.
