India considers youth to be forerunner: Jharkhand Legislative Assembly speaker Dinesh Oraon

Dhaka, November 7: Youths are participating in the process of governance said the Speaker of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly Dinesh Oraon and he also talked about the importance of climate change in the conference of Commonwealth Parliamentary Union (CPA) held in Dhaka on Monday. 

According to local media, Talking in the conference he said that regarding the participation of youth in the governance system, developing country like India is very serious on the participation of youth in globalization. India has considered youth as a forerunner to improve economic and social status.

Uraon said that the number of youth in India is one-third of the total population by which the country gets 34 percent of the national income. India provides them with the right forum to improve the functioning of the government and policies for the youthful talent of the youth. The youth today wants to work together with institutions like the government and the United Nations, SAARC.

In this case, they should be encouraged to join these institutions under the Youth Exchange Program and short-term internship program. In view of the thinking and reasoning of the youth, the United Nations has considered them as the best option for achieving the goals of the Millennium Development Goal.
