‘No Load Shedding’ Mission: Maharashtra Govt approves 312 Cr for the Orange city

Nagpur, November 7: The state govt is on the ‘No load shedding mission’ for the orange city and its rural areas. The amount of electricity supply will now increase in the city as the state has approved Rs 312 Cr under Deendayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGYJ).

 

This mission will be carried out by installing 47 sub centers in which till now 19 sub centers are successfully constructed.

“Our target is to complete remaining sub centers by Dec’18” says the guardian minister of Nagpur C Bawankule.

 

The DDUGJY is one of the flagship programmes of the Ministry of Power and will facilitate 24x7 supply of power. It focuses on providing electrification to all villages, Feeder separation to ensure sufficient power to farmers and regular supply to other consumers, Improvement of Sub-transmission and distribution network to improve the quality and reliability of the supply and Metering to reduce the losses.

This scheme also paves the way for infrastructural development as agricultural yield will increase, Business of Small and household enterprises will grow resulting into new avenues for employment, accessibility to radio, telephone, television, internet and mobile etc will improve and also improvement in health, Education, Banking (ATM) services.
