Panaji, November 7: Goa has been the favourite destination of tourists. Its beaches, nightlife, sunset points etc. are the heart-melting points of Goa. But it’s saddening to see our beaches get littered due to our irresponsible behaviour! So ‘TeraMeraBeach’ is a campaign which will run to raise awareness about ‘cleanliness’.

The agency in Goa ‘Drishti Marine’ announced its initiative ‘TeraMeraBeach’ to create public awareness on cleanliness and the management of coast in the state. The campaign is tagged as "Tera Mera Beach" which will run for 150 days.

"Drishti Marine will embark on a unique public awareness campaign aimed at educating people on cleanliness and beach management along the coastal stretch," a company spokesman said today.

"Starting mid-November, daily drum circles and a community art installation at Baga beach, one of Goa's most popular beaches, will be organised every evening between 5 pm to 6:30 pm in an effort to create an awareness on beach clean-up and teach people about the importance of waste segregation," said Drishti Marine CEO Ravi Shankar.

He said the event aims to make visitors responsible and aware of the necessity to use dustbins along beaches, segregate waste and participate in beach clean-up.

This campaign is supported by the Goa Tourism, Nestle, Video Volunteers, the Museum of Goa and others to raise awareness on keeping Goa's beaches clean.

"In a bid to improve cleanliness on Goan beaches, the state government had reached out to Drishti Marine in December 2016 to step in and assist with garbage collection along the beaches on a temporary basis to support the effort of the government.
