Good News! BPL families with annual income of 72 thousand will be benefited with Kanyadan Yojna in Jharkhand

Ranchi, November 8: Several major decisions has been taken by the Jharkhand government as it has decided to include those who are earning 72 thousand rupees yearly in the Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojna, allowing women to work on the night shift. Also, the government has increased dearness allowance has been increased by 3 percent of those employees and pensioners who have not been given the wage revision.

 

In a Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, the government has increased the scope of beneficiaries in the Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana. The government has decided to include earners with 72 thousand annually in the year. Under this scheme, the government gives financial assistance of 30 thousand rupees to the BPL families for their marriage of their girls. Now the girls of those families will also be benefited, whose parents or guardian's income is 72 thousand rupees annually.

 

In the public distribution system shops, under Deendayal Public Utility Scheme the FMCG products like soap, edible oil, tea leaf, candle, chocolate, ghee, lentils, milk, pickles, cosmetics and other materials will be available for the consumers. The state government had also allowed them to sell these items in 2009, with the aim of increasing the earnings of PDS shopkeepers. Through the public distribution system shops, the government is considering the proposal to set up the item supplier at the state level.

The target of purchasing four lakh MT of Kharif in 2017-18 has been set by the Cabinet. The rules already implemented for Kharif have been amended. Under this, Monitoring Committee will be formed from the district to the block level. The Open Procurement System implemented in Ramgarh in the last year will also be implemented in Dhanbad, Bokaro, Jamtara, and Koderma.

The cabinet has decided to increase the dearness allowance of unpaid payers and pensioners from 136 percent to 139 percent. Also, to approved the Factory Amendment Ordinance 2017 to improve Ease of Doing Business. With this, the overtime period will be 150 hours in three months. Earlier this period was only for 75 hours. Under this amendment, women will now be able to work in the shift of 7 am to 6 pm.
