#DelhiSmog: Health Ministry issues pollution advisory for citizens; advises to remain indoors as much as possible

New Delhi, November 9: Due to increasing air pollution in NCR day by day and converting into a Gas chamber the Union Health Ministry has issued a health advisory regarding the preventive measures for the people.

 

The ministry has advised people to remain indoors if they have any respiratory difficulty and also to keep children indoor as much as much as possible and if at all if they want to get out then they should use masks to avoid excessive inhalation of polluted air. The ministry also added to avoid going to smoky and dusty areas. It also advised to avoid do any tiring activities like morning walk, running etc which would increase your breathing rate.

Drinking plenty of water and fluids will also benefit you because it helps to detoxify the body. Along with this one should avoid usage of deodorants and room sprays as much as possible. Deodorants and room sprays contains nitrogen which may give a push to air pollution.

 

The government also said that smoking avoidance is also important. Anyways smoking is injurious to health but especially during this severe situation of air pollution.

If you have any heart ailments or chronic respiratory disease or asthma, continue your medication as advised by physician. In case of any difficulty in breathing, increase in breathing rate, palpitations or severe bout of coughing and/or sneezing consult for medical assistance.
