Telangana Governor tours Hyderabad metro, hails officials for world-class facilities

Hyderabad, Nov 9: Government of Telangana is gearing up for the much-anticipated inauguration of Hyderabad Metro Rail, a prestigious venture under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Ahead of the important function later this month, the Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Wednesday took the ride of the Metro train from SR Nagar to Miyapur. He was accompanied by Municipal Administration Minister K. Tarakarama Rao, Chief Secretary S.P. Singh, Hyderabad Metro Rail MD N.V.S.Reddy and L&T Metro Rail Chairman S.N. Subrahmanyan.



Narasimhan took the stock of the various construction sites from S.R. Nagar to Miyapur. He also appreciated the ongoing construction of the world-class Metro Rail for the commuters of Telangana. The Governor also enquired about the technology involved in the whole process. Officials briefed him about the Communication Based Train Control and other aspects like in-built driverless train technology, train ride quality, and energy efficiencies.

He advised state administration and Metro officials to initiate an educational campaign for the commuters to keep the Metro premises clean and neat.
