Makers of Padmavati submits fresh plea, CBFC to address content issue

Mumbai, December 12: Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, the Makers of Sanjay Lila Bhansali’s most controversial though much anticipated period drama Padmavati are all set for the fresh certification process. According to media reports, officials of    Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) would take the final call on the alleged objections raised by various social organizations against the contain of Deepika Padukone starrer flick.

As mentioned by The Deccan Chronicles, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, who are bankrolling the epic drama have already submitted the revised application on November 28. The presenters have already pitched for the 3D version along with regular content.

According to industry talk, CBFC officials are consciously monitoring the certification process. Earlier, the certification agency had turned down the plea of Padmavati citing the reason of incomplete process. The CBFC panel might rope in officials who can investigate and address the issue of distortion of the historic tale.
