Russian President Putin orders partial pull out of Russian forces from Syria

Moscow, December 12: After two years of deployment of Russian Force in Syria, Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for the pullout of the Russian military group from Syria. After Syrian Civil war started in 2014, Russia started its active engagement in the conflict n 2015 and Russian military has been fighting against terrorist forces in Syria since then.

Putin flew into Syria and said Russian Military’s work is largely done. He is on a three-day diplomatic visit to Syria where he is meeting his counterparts from Egypt and Turkey also. During his visit to Russia’s Hmeymim air base in Syria. He also held talks with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Russia deployed force in favor of Assad and contributed largely to turn the tide in favor of him.

"I order the Defense Ministry and the chief of the General Staff to begin the pullout of the Russian military group to permanent locations," Putin told while he was addressing Russian forces.

"Over slightly more than two years, the Russian Armed Forces have routed together with the Syrian army the most combat-capable grouping of international terrorists," Putin said.

He also mentioned Russia is ready to strike terrorists if they again try to break peace in Syria. He congratulated troops deployed to Russia’s Hmeymim air base on brilliantly achieving the task of defeating terrorists in Syria.
