Mogadishu, December 12: Again Suicide bomber hits Somali Capital Mogadishu killing at least 13 police officers, injuring 20 others. The blast hit a Police Training Academy in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Thursday morning. The suicide bomber was disguised as a policeman.

The attacker blew himself up inside the training camp and the explosives were strapped to his body. He infiltrated the General Kahiye Police Training Academy during an early morning parade. It is being feared that the death toll may rise later.

The Al-Qaeda linked terrorist group Al Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack. The group gave a higher death toll according to its official news agency Andalus Radio. They said the blast killed 27 police officers and injured more.

Islamist militant insurgency has been tormenting the African country for a long time. The group was driven out of the country in 2011 but still, it kept doing its business through various terrorist attacks and using suicide bombers is a common practice of this group.

A devastating bomb blast in Somalia capital took away over 400 lives while 300 others were injured. This truck blast was called as a deadliest one in Somalia. The truck bomb targeted important street of the capital. Key government ministries, including foreign affairs, were nearby from the area of the attack.
