Assam is rich in culture, language and tradition; people should preserve their heritage: CM Sonowal urges tribal community

Guwahati, December 22: Lauding the tribal community of Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal addressed 37th triennial General Conference of All Assam Tribal Sangha. CM Sonowal appealed to the people of the state to boost harmony and strengthen the fabric of the Assamese society. 

Speaking as the Chief Guest, the CM urged the people to preserve their culture, language and tradition in a bid to showcase the rich and versatile Assamese identity in the global arena.

 

“Assam is rich in its culture, language and tradition and its versatility reflects the vibrancy of Assamese identity. People belonging to all communities must strive hard to preserve their heritage and promote harmonious co-existence, CM added.

The state government is committed to ensure equal development of all communities following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of 'sabka sath sabka vikash' and the people must support the government’s efforts in this regard,” Sonowal said.
