Haryana shooters bag several medals in National Shooting Championship

Chandigarh, December 28: Haryana girls keep making the state proud. Experienced Haryana shooter Anisa Sayyed won the women’s 25m pistol gold with a new record at the ongoing 61st National Shooting Championship Competitions. She made a new record national score.


Sayyed who scored 33 erased the National record of 28 set by Annu Raj Singh in Brisbane earlier this year. Maharashtra duo of Shital Shivaji Thorat and Rahi Sarnobat won the silver and bronze medals, respectively. Shital shot 30 while the other shooter shot 28.

Haryana Chief Minister congratulated “Haryana ki beti”(Haryna’s daughter)Sayyed for winning women's 25m pistol gold with a new national record. He expressed his hapnisess as the lady made the state proud.

Another Haryana girl Haryana’s Manu Bhaker won gold in the women’s junior team and junior team civilian 25m pistol events. In the junior women’s 25m pistol event, Haryana’s Chinki Yadav won the gold with a finals national record score of 31. Another Haryana talent Gauri Sheoran won the silver, while Saee Ashok Godbole of Maharashtra bagged the bronze.
