Siddaramaiah softens stand on Mahadayi row, pitches for mutual talks

Tumakuru, December 28: Reiterating the demand of center’s intervention to resolve the ongoing tussle over Mahadayi river water sharing, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that peaceful talks across the table would solve the long pending issue between Karnataka and Goa.

Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister once again expressed that Karnataka state government was ready to hold talks with BJP rule Goa government keeping the interest of the people. He further added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mediation would pave the way to end inter-state water dispute.

When asked about the forthcoming assembly polls,  the Chief Minister asserted that he would not change his assembly segment. Siddaramaiah added that he will contest 2018 polls from Chamundi constituency.
