Resolve bifurcation issues mutually: Ravi Shankar Prasad to AP and Telangana lawmakers

New Delhi, December 29: Assuring full support for the proposed building of new High Courts, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad requested lawmakers from both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to share existing Andhra Pradesh high court building till the construction of new High court by Andhra Pradesh.

The Minister was responding to a demand raised by Telangana Rashtra Samithi members on the issue of separate land allocation for Telangana High Court. Informing about the development, Prasad stated that post-bifurcation, Andhra Pradesh is gearing up for the construction of new building and center is also providing adequate funds for the same.

As per the recommendations of Srikrishna Committee report and AP Reorganisation Act 2014, Andhra Pradesh was supposed to build its own infrastructure whereas newly carved state Telangana, would use the existing high court set up.
