In a massive breakthrough, security forces arrest 3 LeT terrorists from Baramulla district of north Kashmir

Srinagar, December 29: Security forces on Thursday afternoon arrested three terrorists belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba terror group from Chechlora area of Tangmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The arms and ammunitions including grenades and AK rifles were recovered from the arrested terrorists.

 

Acting on the specific input, Jammu and Kashmir police along with the team of 2 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army and a special team of Cargo laid down a naka near Chechlora area of Tangmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and arrested three LeT terrorists with arms and ammunition. A vehicle has also been seized in which they were traveling in at the time when the joint team intercepted them.

The police confirmed the arrests of three local terrorists who were identified as Jammel Ahmad Bhat, Amir Ahmad Bhat and Mohd Yaseen Bhat. All the arrested terrorists are the residents of North Kashmir. However, sources said that fourth one was believed to be a terrorist from Pakistan, but police confirm the arrests of only three.

Earlier on Wednesday, security forces recovered a huge cache of arms and explosives from an underground arms dump in Reasi district. In the week, security forces eliminated a top Jaish-e- Mohammad terrorist named Noor Mohammad after a fierce encounter that took place in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, in this month, security forces eliminated three terrorists and arrested one belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terror outfit in Qazigund area of Kulgam district. Security forces have led a massive war against terrorism and terrorists in the inner parts of Jammu-Kashmir and forward areas. Therefore, Anti-Terrorism operation is continued with such a speed that more than 205 terrorists are eliminated by Indian troops in a time period of a year.
