Panaji, December 29: Responding to political mudslinging over Mahadeyi issue, senior counsel Atmaram Nadkarni clarified that state government has objection on the construction of eight dams by Karnataka government. He further added that state has no issues with the sharing of 0.1 TMC of water to Karnataka.

As reported by The Indian Express, Nadkarni who is backing Goa government in Mahadeyi Water Dispute Tribunal hearing maintained that construction of eight dams might affect the irrigation eco-system of the state. The senior law officer reiterated that mutual discussion on water sharing would resolve the long-pending issue with fewer complications.
