Amit Shah lists all abusive words by Congress against PM Modi in reply to Aiyar's remark

Mumbai, December 7: BJP chief Amit Shah replies on Manishankar Aiyar's abusive statement by listing expressions used by Congress leaders against PM Modi in past. Faced with widespread condemnation, Aiyar later issued an apology.

In another tweet, Jaitley said: "Mani Shankar Aiyer's 'Neech' remark against the Prime Minister displays a mindset that only one elite family can be a ruler and the rest are only the 'Neech'."

Earlier on today, while commenting in response to the PM Modi's attack on Jawaharlal Nehru at a rally, Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar, who called PM as a 'chaiwala' during the 2014 elections has now called the PM a neech aadmi (low-life person) and also said that the PM isn't cultured.

Aiyar asked whether there is any need to pactice such politics, the way PM Modi is doing. Aiyar's comments are in response to the PM's attack on Jawaharlal Nehru at a rally in Gujarat.

Meanwhile, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi berated senior party colleague Mani Shankar Aiyar for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a ‘neech’ person. He wrote, “BJP and PM routinely use filthy language to attack the Congress party. The Congress has a different culture and heritage. I do not appreciate the tone and language used by Mr Mani Shankar Aiyer to address the PM. Both the Congress and I expect him to apologise for what he said.”

Aiyar later said, “‘Neech’ word can have different interpretations, my intention was never to talk of PM’s caste.I apologize if it also has a caste meaning. I am an ordinary worker of Congress, have not even been asked to campaign in Gujarat so why such a uproar over my comment?”

Ironically, campaigning for the first phase of Assembly Elections in Gujarat came to an end Thursday evening. Political heavyweights of both the Congress and the BJP made one last effort to woo voters in districts that will go to polls on December 9.
