Air India on the mission to fly more; Flight services to Bangkok increased enhancing tourism

Mumbai, December 9: Air India the flag carrier airline of India has introduced more flight service to connect Indian cities with foreign cities. Air India will commence its services to Hubli from Bengaluru, connecting Mumbai from December 12. Along with this Air India is also going to start flight services between Bhubaneswar and Chandigarh to Bangkok.

The flight on Bengaluru- Hubli- Mumbai and Mumbai- Hubli- Bengaluru sector will operate thrice a week - Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays -with an A 319 plane, the airline said in a release today.

The direct flights between Bangkok and Chandigarh and also between Bhubaneswar and Bangkok will increase tourism as well as trade on International level.

The new flight between Hubli – Bengaluru – Mumbai will give a boost to tourism and also fulfill a long-standing demand of travellers from the second largest city and commercial hub of the state, Air India said.

Air India also operates flights to domestic and Asian destinations through its subsidiaries Alliance Air and Air India Express. On 28 June 2017, the Government of India announced the privatisation of Air India. A committee has been set up to start the process. Air India Express will continue to expand before the group's privatisation next year, in a bid to increase its valuation, its chief executive said.
