Built on 14,842.43 sq mts land situated at Reshimbag area the Suresh Bhat Memorial Auditorium will be the first theatre with the ample use of solar power. The Project was started in 2010 with the budget of Rs 33.60 crore.
Earlier Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari who represents Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency had officially requested President Kovind for the same. According to NMC officials, On this occasion Governor of Maharashtra C Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Standing Committee Chief Sandeep Jadhav, Ruling Party leader Sandip Joshi will be present along with other officials.
