1,000 days of Raghubar Das: Jharkhand welcomes progressive projects worth 5,500crore

Ranchi, September 12: Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das completes his 1000 days of governance in the state. And while the celebrations go on, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari shares the stage with other officials and congratulates CM Das on his progressive work. 

 

Gadkari laid foundation stones for various projects related to power, water and road with a total cost of Rs 5,500 crores. And pressing on the topic of developing the state, Gadkari pressed on the topic to try making the state a hub for alternative fuels like coal-based methanol, agri-products based ethanol and electric based transport vehicles. He further advised the state CM to focus more on irrigation projects to create more employment. 

 

 

 

CM Das on the occasion said, “If the North eastern states agree to share the Brahmaputra waters then it could reach to us through West Bengal and go until Chhatisgarh.” Talking about other sectors, Das highlighted the issue of corruption saying that the corruption exists in lower level bureaucracy. As a result of which, the state has set up Anti-Corruption bureau offices in every division. He further spoke about the healthcare services saying, “We had only three medical colleges in the state since 1947. We have now got three new medical colleges, which will begin functioning soon. Also, the state government is building 500-bed hospitals, attached to these three colleges, on its own budget. We are in the process of sending proposal to the Centre for three more medical colleges.”

 

 

 

The government also came out with a booklet of 1,000 days of Jharkhand’s governance under the watchful eye of CM Raghubar Das. However, he said, “The booklet neither makes tall claims of the progress nor it makes huge promises of the future. We have been and remained committed to undertaking and implementing public welfare policies.“
