London, September 14: British Prime Minister Theresa May faces criticism over her decision on the Brexit and her winning the marginal votes. Amidst all tensions in Britain, May has decided to fly down to Florence, Italy to set out her vision of post-Brexit Britain.

May chose the venue to show that Britain was “leaving the EU but not leaving Europe”. May is expected to speak out her vision of Britain after Brexit and how she defines the relationship bwtween Britain and EU. However, the details about how much money the UK is prepared to pay the EU i.e. the divorce bill might not come out.

Her last speech about Brexit was 9 months ago. As a result, this will be one of the substantial interventions in the Brexit in which she will reveal out her broad principles of the government’s negotiating position.
Britain and the historical trading city, Florence has deep cultural and economic ties spanning centuries. And as UK leaves the EU, the country wants to retain all its close ties. In fact, Italy is seen as a weak link in the European Union, with many of its citizens supporting Britain’s decision to leave. There has also been tension between Italy and the EU over its migration policy, as Italy has had to deal with a disproportionate number of migrants who make their way there by sea from North African countries.
