UAE simplifies visa process for Indian passport holders residing in UK, European Union

Abu Dhabi, September 14: The United Arab Emirates on Wednesday has taken a massive decision to approve visa on arrival for Indian passport holders with United Kingdom and European Union residency visa. Now, all the Indian nationals residing in United Kingdom and European Union can easily travel to UAE as visa processes are simplified. The visit of more Indians will bring boost in the economy of the UAE.

Notably, the simplification of visa process for Indian passport holders with United Kingdom and European Union residency is done with an aim to achieving UAE’s vision to be the leading country in attracting global tourism.

However, the decision to simplify a visa process is also aims at advancing the UAE-India relations in economic, politics and trade. This decision strengthens the UAE's external relations by facilitating the visa issuance process in order to confirm its global status as a tourist and economic hub.

This very important decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Earlier this year, the UAE Cabinet had approved a decision to grant Indian passport holders with either a valid US visa or a green card a visa on arrival.
