Ranchi, September 15: Chief Minister Raghubar Das yesterday on the occasion of ‘Hindi Diwas’ said Hindi was the identity of the Indian culture and was the only ‘sutra’ through which the entire nation be brought together.

 


Addressing the programme, he said that questions over Hindi would be raising questions on the unity and sovereignty of the nation. The sake of unity of the nation is important so that all contribute to enrich the language. Language and tradition and culture is the identity of any nation.

The chief minister also said that India is the only such country that has maintained its culture and tradition. Even after 600 years of slavery, India has maintained its core culture and art which is commendable. He said that the language was being spread across the nation and is the fourth largest spoken language in the world. languages.

The CM further said that Mahatma Gandhi had said that English was rich language. He said people should learn other languages as their was no objection to that but place of Hindi should be on top. But it’s sad that we only celebrate it once in a year and then we forget about it.
Furthermore, Das said that the state government has accorded importance to Hindi and other regional languages as these were the identity of the state and the government was taking many steps to promote them. Some vested interests are trying to destroy the tradition and culture but the government would not allow such vested interests to fulfill their motto.

During the programme the best essay writers and small story writers were also felicitated. The CM also felicitated Ashok Priyadrashi and others for their contribution to the language.
