Lucknow, September 15: Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the country is fully geared to combat any untoward situation. In response to questions on the Doklam stand-off and repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistan, she said that defence forces are monitoring every situation very closely.
"The External Affairs Ministry has already given a statement regarding it so I would not like to add anything to it," she added.
While the over two-month standoff at Doklam was resolved on August 28 through disengagement of soldiers from both sides, the pass through which many Indian pilgrims go to Kailash Mansarovar in China’s Tibet remained shut.
