Gujarat Polls: BJP President Amit Shah to attend mega OBC convention at Phagvel

Kheda, Sept 15: In order to consolidate the traditional OBC votes in favor of BJP after the Patidar agitation, BJP Supremo Amit Shah is all set to address the mega convention of OBC ahead of the crucial assembly polls in the state of Gujarat. The home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah will go to polls in the month of December.

On September 18 BJP Chief Amit Shah will attend the meeting in Phagvel village of Kheda district party functionaries and volunteers representing OBC community are expected gather in large number extending support to ruling party. Phagvel is the same place from where former Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had kick-off his Gujarat Gaurav Yatra after the horrifying communal riots in the state.

On this occasion, Shah will showcase various policy initiatives carried out by the Central government for the welfare of OBC Community. According to State BJP leaders, Shah will share his thoughts on the historic move of National Commission for Backward Classes. He further added that the party chief will expose the double standards of Congress party as the opposition party had stalled the OBC bill in the Rajya Sabha. Targeting 146 communities from the other background classes which cover almost 40% of the state’s population the saffron party is gearing up for the target of 150 seats by Amit Shah.
