Srinagar, September 17: Alert Indian Army on Saturday eliminated two Pakistani terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Machil sector in Kupwara district along the Line of Control (LoC) and foiled the major infiltration bid. However, the combing operation is still on to hunt other terrorists if they are trying to infiltrate.

Two Pakistani infiltrators were trying to infiltrate in the Indian side along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir’s Machil sector in Kupwara district. After noticing the suspect movement Indian army challenged infiltrators which resulted in the exchange of fires and troops easily eliminated two Pakistani terrorists successfully.

Defence spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia said that they had recovered weapons from the slain terrorists. The identities and affiliation of the suspected terrorists are not known yet, Kalia added. Interestingly, the infiltration bid was foiled just two days after Amarnath terror attack mastermind Abu Ismail who belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba along with his close aid was killed in a fierce encounter with Indian troops in Jammu and Kashmir's Nowgam area.

The Indian security forces have led a massive war against terrorism and terrorists in the inner parts of Jammu-Kashmir and forward areas. Therefore, Anti-Terrorism operation is continued with such a speed that at least 140 terrorists are eliminated by Indian troops in a time period of only 8 months.
