Narada Sting investigation continues; Bengal’s Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim appears before CBI

Kolkata, September 18: The Narada scam is one of the worst one in the row before 2016 Vidhansava election in Bengal. A number of ministers from the state who are allegedly involved in the scam are being interrogated by CBI. On Monday, Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim (Bobby Hakim) appeared before CBI interrogation in CBI’s Kolkata headquarters Nizam Palace.

Bobby Hakim is the only minister who appeared in CBI office on first notice. Otherwise, all other leaders and ministers somehow denied to go and appeared after 2nd or 3rd summon. On last Thursday CBI officials sent the notice for him.

Along with CBI, Enforcement Directorate(ED) is also investigating the Narada scam. In last month, Bobby Hakim also went to ED office in Salt Lake. Mayor of Kolkata Sovan Chatterjee, West Bengal Panchayat Minister Subrata Mukherjee, another leader Madan Mitra had also been interrogated by CBI or ED.

Sarada and Narada financial scams hit TMC badly before 2016 Bidhansavha election. Many top-level TMC leaders including were alleged of taking a bribe from a journalist. In the leaked footage it was clearly shown many TMC leaders are taking a bribe from Mathu Samuel. Incidentally, Mathu Samuel reigned from Narada in last month.
