Dehradun, September 22: After a fruitful visit to Jharkhand, BJP Chief Amit Shah visited Uttarakhand on his second state tour visit meeting the CM Trivendra Singh Rawat and other highly prominent dignitaries from the state department.

Shah lauded Rawat’s performance over 6 months in Uttarakhand on his visit to the state. He said all unaddressed issues such as migration from border villages in the hills will be resolved by the Trivendra Singh Rawat government during its five-year rule.

On Shah’s 1st day, he met state’s Mayor, District BJP chief, District General Secretary and many other BJP officials at a meeting. Soon after, Amit Shah attended a huge Intellectuals and eminent citizens meet in Dehradun. During his speech, he politely mentioned that BJP is the only party in India where a tea seller’s son is now the Prime Minister and a not-so-famous party worker is the BJP Chief. He even said outloud that with the arrival of BJP party in India, the development has soared and in coming days, it’s going to create a history.

At a Mandal Paryant Bethak on September 20, Shah addressed 100 of BJP supporters and said, “Under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, we have uplifted Uttarakhand and now we will make it a ‘Model state’ too.” At last, he ended the meeting by just saying that BJP party is committed to Uttarakhand’s development. The BJP chief also said that while there was no provision for an economic package for any state in the recommendations of the 14th Finance Commission, allocations and grants to Uttarakhand had been substantially increased.

Furthermore, he also held closed-door productive meetings with the heads of 19 ‘vibhag’ or departments and 10 ‘prakalp’ or projects in the BJP’s state unit. The BJP’s state unit has various projects including those for office modernisation, e-library creation, cleanliness drive, Namami Gange and training. Similarly, the state unit has departments dedicated to research on policy matters, national programme and meetings, publicity literature creation and election management, among others. On Wednesday, Shah inaugurated a library at the BJP office during his two-hour long stay there.
