No place for Vote Bank politics: PM Modi

Shahanshahpur, Sept 23: On the second day of his Varanasi visit Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that well-being of every citizen is the first and foremost priority for his government. Taking a pot-shot on opposition parties Modi stated that governance is not about politics or winning elections.

Addressing the Pashudhan Arogya Mela organized by state administration Modi informed that in order to multiply the farmers’ income, various initiatives have been taken by this government. He also suggested that emphasis should be given to sector like animal husbandry along with conventional practices. The Prime Minister also asked members of cooperatives to chalk out the plan to increase milk productivity which will pay a rich dividend to the dairy sector. He appreciated efforts of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for engaging Pashudhan Arogya Mela.

 

Underscoring the importance of cleanliness in public and personal life Modi asserted that following Swachhata mission is like a worshiping of god. On this occasion, he urged everyone to keep their surroundings clean. The Prime Minister also interacted with people, who have taken important steps for the open-defecation-free village.
