Traders of Darjeeling unanimously decided to restart business in the hill area

Darjeeling, September 24: The long-term indefinite strike in Darjeeling has caused a huge amount of loss in the industrial sector, may it be tourism or something small. Durga Puja will start within 3 days and businessman across Bengal try to harvest this season. Hence industrialists from Darjeeling have decided to open all their shops from Sunday despite Gorkha Janmukti Morcha Chief Bimal Gurung’s warning.
Gurung started to lose his popularity among local people because of the misery they have had to suffer during Gurung’s stubborn agitation. The rebel GJM leader Binay Tamang who is against any kind of unrest and strike is getting more support from local residents. 
On Saturday, 19 trade unions had a meeting in Darjeeling. After the meeting, they anonymously announced to open all the shops, stores in the hill area. The decision proves that the hill is disgusted with agitations and determined to come out of its dark phase.
The hotel and restaurant owners also decided if the shops reopen they will also start their business soon. Fearing Gurung’s obstruction to normalcy, the police force is inspecting more. Nabanna also wants to ensure normalcy in the hill.
