Good news for ‘expectant mothers’, Odisha Govt to provide financial aid under ‘Sampurna Yojna’

Bhubaneswar, September 24: Odisha has good news for the ‘expectant mothers’, the state government will provide monetary assistance under ‘Sampurna Yojna’. Under this scheme Rs 1,000 will be provided as transportation cost particularly to expectant mothers to facilitate institutional delivery in remote and inaccessible areas in the state. 

Besides, the CM, conducting a review meeting of the National Health Mission (NHM), announced ASHA Kalyan Yojana for ASHA workers and a dedicated Welfare Fund for the employees working under the NHM. The ASHA workers will be entitled to get a monthly honorarium of Rs 1,000 and a one-time incentive of Rs 10,000 on attaining 60 years of age.

CM Naveen Patnaik has launched several new programmes for improvement of the health care delivery system in the state, said health and family welfare minister, Pratap Jena. The employees working under the NHM will get compensation of up to Rs 6 lakh in case of death and up to Rs 2.5 lakh for partial disability through the Employees Welfare Fund.
