Maharashtra’s Pandharpur city set to get makeover as Canadian Govt to invest Rs.2000 Cr

Mumbai, September 24: Maharashtra’s Pandharpur is about to get financial aid for it redevelopment from the Government of Canada. On the occasion of completing 150 years of the friendly relations between India and the Government of Canada, the Canadian government has announced financial assistance for the development of Pandharpur city.

 

The Indo-Canadian Agreement was signed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. On this issue, a meeting was held in Mumbai along with representatives of the Canadian Embassy. The meeting was attended by Dr. Atul Bhosale, President of Shree Vitthal Rukmini Temples Devasthan Committee, Pravin Pardeshi, Chief Secretary of State, Dr. Rajendra Bhosale, District Collector of Solapur and others. 

The Canadian Embassy representatives have agreed to cooperate with the entire development of the city, including the cleanliness, drinking water supply in the city, development of the Chandrabhaga, and the provision of sewage system to the entire city, the Board of Representatives is going to visit Pandharpur on October 3, to deal with the city. The Canadian government will invest nearly Rs.2000/- Cr to change the face of Pandharpur city. The work will be undertaken by Canada Trade Corporation.
