Russia strongly wants to prevent Syria’s partition; stresses on coordination from US military to counter terrorism

Moscow, September 24: Since a long Russia and US are actively participating in Syrian civil war. Other than main agendas, now the main target of both the nation is to remove terrorists from the country. Hence Russian top diplomat Sergey Lavrov has stressed a need for coordinated action by Russian and US military to deal a final blow to terrorists in Syria.

"We have the so-called deconflicting, but this is probably not enough when the fight against terrorism is in progress when we destroy terrorist hotbeds in Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor," Lavrov said. "In order to deal a final blow to terrorists in fact, not just deconflicting is a need, coordination is necessary. However, the American military is forbidden from coordination," he added.

As per Lavrov’s statement, Russia will not tolerate any obstacle to counter terrorists in Syria and has already informed it to the US. He also said Russia is having regular talks with the US. Russian Defense Ministry earlier announced that they have explained the current situation to the US.

Though he stressed on coordination, later he said, "We have sent a clear message that if there are attempts to complicate the end of the counterterrorism operation from the areas that are close to American ‘friends,’ or what else they can be called, it will not be left without reaction,"

Lavrov again made it clear that Russia eagerly wants to keep Syria’s unity and wants to prevent the partition of Syria. He thinks if Syria gets divided chain reactions will follow the whole Middle East.
