Ram Rahim faces heat as HC directs ED and IT Department to scan all the assets of Dera chief

Chandigarh September 27: Coming out as a big blow for rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim, Punjab and Haryana High Court today directed agencies to investigate the movable and immovable assets of Dera chief. The court also has asked Income Tax department and the Enforcement Directorate to trace the links of money laundering.
Briefing about the development, Navkiran Singh said that the court has granted the permission to examine any documents with the Accountant General (AG) office Haryana to get factual information about the assets of Ram Rahim.
While hearing the plea of Ravinder Dhull the high court also advised investigative agencies to look after the serious economic offenses like violation of any income tax act along with the prevention of money laundering act.
