Cheers! Telangana rolls out round the clock free of cost power supply to help farmers

Hyderabad, January 1: Seems New Year has brought many goodies for many people out there. One such is Telangana! Telangana will supply the 24-hour free power supply to farmers for agricultural purposes from today. Cheers! The Telangana launched continuous power supply to the state’s 2.3 million farmers free of cost. 

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao described the 24X7 agriculture power supply as a New Year’s gift for the farmers of the state. “Though certain states are supplying power to farmers free of cost, it is only for a few hours; and some states are giving 24-hour power supply but for a price. Telangana is the only state which is supplying power to farmers round the clock free of cost,” he said.

The free power supply will now be available for 23 lakh agricultural pump sets.

CM Rai, called the supply of 24-hour quality, uninterrupted and free power to the farm sector, as a big victory for the youngest state of Telangana that is just 3 and the half year old. Hailing it a gigantic task, he said the 24X7 power supply to all the sectors in the state was made possible by the employees which had been serving the state with dedication.

The Chief Minister congratulated and said everyone else in the country looking up towards Telangana State for its revolutionary changes that took place on the power sector.
