Ankara, January 10: Crafting history India’s daughter Aanchal Thakur bagged India’s 1st ever bronze medal in the International Skiing Competition. Hails from Manali, 21-year-old Aanchal Thakur clinched the bronze medal in the coveted Alpine Ejder 3200 Cup organised by the Federation International de Ski. 

With the victory of Aanchal Thakur, there is a wave of happiness and. She belongs to Manali's Burua village. Manali's Aanchal Thakur performed a spectacular display in International Ski Tournament held in Turkey from January 6 to 9, defeating many countries. She won the medal in the slalom race category.

 

Winner girl Aanchal Thakur said "Months of training have finally borne fruit. I started well and managed to take a good lead, which helped later in getting the third-place finish."
